Brendan Magee & Mike Ryan from Ireland’s Country TV (Sky Channel 198) invite you to come and join them in September 2018 on a most delightful cruise on the fabulous River Danube.Yes, this is without doubt, one of the most scenic journeys through the heart of Europe. The Dancing On The Danube cruise has been designed especially for you with a host of fine entertainers, including Brendan himself onboard the 4* ms Serenity cruise ship for a very memorable trip. Every day there will be something new to see as you sit back, relax and enjoy this slower pace combined with the high level of service onboard the ms Serenity.
There will be lots of freedom to do your own thing or alternatively you can join any of the optional excursions of which there is a wonderful selection. These excursions can be pre booked with Enjoy Travel or onboard the ms Serenity.
You’ll have time to soak up the atmosphere, explore the sights and take in the beauty of the places you cruise to and through. You will discover a wealth of art, history and cultural treasures, as you stop off at some of Europe’s most famous destinations. Journey to Melk, Durstein, Bratislava, Vienna and Budapest. Along the way, visit magnificent cathedrals and Baroque abbeys, sample Vienna’s sinfully rich sachertorte cake, experience the breath-taking scenery of the Wachau Valley wine-making region, and traverse Europe’s Continental Divide. Enjoy a new dimension in river cruising on-board the premier 4 star ms Serenity offering style and outstanding service.
The slow pace along the river is just the right tempo for relaxing and enjoying good food and great wine. Soak up the warm September sun on the top deck as you cruise pass beautiful landscapes dotted with castles, abbeys, villages and vineyards. You can “Dance on the Danube” in the afternoons on the top deck or just chill out and listen to some of the wonderful singers joining us on this cruise. Then after dinner it’s time to party the night away to the best in Irish country music entertainment.
The cabins are available on 3 deck levels and are finished to the highest standard with ensuite shower and toilet, air conditioning, twin beds, satellite tv, radio, safe and hairdryer. Day 1: Passau
Transfer from Munich Airport to board your cruise in Passau. Meet your fellow passengers at dinner as the ship cruises to Melk.
Day 2: Melk – Vienna
You can join an optional excursion to visit the most famous monastic house in Austria, the Benedictine Abbey, situated above Melk in the Wachau valley. The remainder of the day can be spent relaxing on board as we sail to Vienna for an overnight stop.
Day 3: Vienna
We spend a whole day in Vienna seeing the key attractions of this city. In the morning you can join our optional city tour and in the afternoon we have an optional excursion to Schönbrunn Palace. In the evening we cast off and cruise towards Budapest.
Day 4: Budapest
Spend time in one of the world’s most beautiful cities and explore both sides of Hungary’s capital – traditional ‘Buda’ and cosmopolitan ‘Pest’. Start with an optional tour to become acquainted with the city and in the evening you can choose to experience Budapest by night on another optional excursion.
Day 5: Budapest
Enjoy free time in Budapest or opt to take our excursion taking you through the sweeping plains of Hungary to Lajosmizse. Here we visit a traditional stud farm and enjoy a tour of the grounds in a horse-drawn carriage, before watching a live Puszta horse show. We then sail to Bratislava.
Day 6: Bratislava
Join our optional walking tour to take in the sights of the Slovakian capital, dominated by its castle, and experience its rich culture. Later in the day we set sail towards Dürnstein.
Day 7: Dürnstein
The town of Dürnstein nestles among Austria’s most famous vineyards and is crowned by the ruins of the castle that once imprisoned Richard the Lionheart. It’s a beautiful place filled with cobbled streets, pretty courtyards and 16th-century houses. After some free time we set sail for the final time and cruise towards Passau.
Day 8: Passau
Disembarkation after breakfast. Transfer will be provided to Munich Airport

All of the outside cabins aboard the MS Serenity have a bright modern feel, are appointed with tasteful decor, twin beds, en suite shower with wc, air conditioning, radio, satellite TV, safe and a hairdryer. There’s also plenty of storage space for your suitcases, along with a good size wardrobe and a small desk and chair. Each cabin has river views so you can watch the outside world drift by as much as you like. Choose from superb accommodation on the Main Deck, the Middle Deck, or the Panorama Deck.
These cabins are on the lower deck and feature two small viewing windows.
These cabins are on the deck above the lower deck and feature large sliding windows.
These cabins are the highest standard rooms aboard the ms Serenity and are located on the on the upper deck. They boast a French balcony, which offers excellent river views.
