A Return to the South Coast in 2012
Bournemouth is recognised as one of the prettiest resort towns in the UK. Situated on the South Coast of England it is a year round short break holiday haven. The town has consistently won awards for the quality, safety and cleanliness of its beach. It has seven miles of golden sands and you can walk from our chosen hotels along the beach into the town. You can also visit the pier and the award winning gardens nearby. There is an abundance of shops, restaurants and a buzzing nightlife with theatres & shows and endless countryside walks and it is only a short journey from London. Access is good with an airport, a railway station and a network of fine roads and motorways.
As well as the music and dancing, there are a lot of other interesting things to see and do in the area. Corfe Castle model village for example, located on the Isle of Purbeck and within easy reach of Poole, Bournemouth and Weymouth and at the start of the Jurassic coast, a World Heritage Site. See what the village would have looked like before its destruction by Cromwell and his troops back in the mid 1600’s.
The Oceana Hotel Group
For this event we are using not one, but THREE HOTELS, yes three fine establishments, all located directly next door to each other and set atop Bournemouth’s prestigious East Cliff. Many of the rooms have ocean views and some have balconies so, first come first served! All the rooms are en-suite with tv., telephone, tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer etc. Between all the hotels, there are several different bar lounge experiences to be had and various function rooms to
accommodate the Ceilis and the Social Dancing as well as the various workshops etc. So no excuses! Plenty of opportunities to learn a few new steps and put them into practice at the afternoon and evening dance sessions.
The hotels boast a very warm and welcoming atmosphere and the restaurants provide a wide selection of meals and of course breakfast and dinner on this weekend break are both included.
The hotels accommodating us our The Suncliff, The Cliffside and
The Cumberland. We are using The Suncliff and the Cliffside initially and the Cumberland if we need to for extra capacity. All of the functions will take place in Suncliff and the Cliffside. No single supplement required for our single rooms! (limited rooms available)
